About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Specialist to join our team at Burgess Pipeline Services. As an integral part of the Odorization Engineering team, the HSE Specialist will ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices are maintained throughout odorization system activities for natural gas pipelines. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and oversee health, safety, and environmental protocols specific to odorization systems for natural gas pipelines.
- Conduct thorough HSE analysis and assessments for odorization projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into odorization solutions and pipeline projects.
- Provide HSE technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to odorization processes.
- Ensure accurate documentation of HSE processes, procedures, and findings, adhering to industry standards.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements in HSE practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to convey HSE information and promote a strong safety culture.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline.

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply logical problem-solving techniques.

  • Personal commitment to continuous improvement in engineering practices.

  • Evidence of leadership and effective teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with odorization technologies and natural gas pipeline systems.

  • Experience in designing and implementing HSE protocols for engineering projects.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards related to odorization.

  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.


Salary: $80,000-100,000
