About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Odorization Field Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of odorization systems for natural gas pipelines. The Odorization Field Specialist should have a strong background in electronic or mechanical abilities, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and exhibit excellent communication skills, especially in written and verbal forms. Strong math skills, methodical thinking, the ability to work under pressure, and a capacity to work independently are essential for this role. Candidates must successfully pass pre-employment screening.
Responsibilities:
-Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of odorization systems in the field.
-Collaborate with the engineering team to implement system modifications or upgrades as needed.
-Respond promptly to system alarms, perform diagnostic tests, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
-Ensure accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance.
-Work independently and under pressure to meet scheduled maintenance deadlines and respond to unexpected issues.
-Demonstrate a commitment to safety protocols and procedures in all field activities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong electronic or mechanical aptitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient math skills for system calculations and measurements.
Methodical thinker with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and without direct supervision.
Successful completion of pre-employment screening.
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in a field service or maintenance role.
Familiarity with odorization technologies and natural gas pipeline systems.
Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards related to odorization.
Technical certification or coursework in electronics, mechanics, or a related field.
Salary: $80,000-100,000
